Elementary subgraph
WebA 2-matching of a graph G is a spanning subgraph of which every vertex has degree at most two. A 2-matching is perfect if every component of the 2-matching is either a cycle or a single edge (or a complete graph with two vertices K2). A perfect 2-matching is also called an elementary subgraph or a Sach’s subgraph in literature.
