First step was to check condition and level of all fluids (engine oil, trans fluid, coolant, power steering, brake fluid and battery acid). WebFrom my limited knowledge and limited past experience with small engines, I don’t want to put gas in the generator, only to turn around and drain it for storage. This means I won’t be able to test the generator to make sure it works, but it also means less chance of a gummed up carb after long-term storage. At least that’s my current theory.
